PE

PE is on Tuesday morning and Thursday morning. Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit - yellow polo top, navy blue shorts/jogging bottoms, long-sleeved navy top, yellow socks and plimsolls/trainers. The children do not need to bring in their school uniform to change into. Please ensure earrings are removed or taped over.

Snack/Drink/Lunch

Snack is being provided daily and the children are actively encouraged to eat this, but if there is a particular fruit that your child will only eat, then please provide it in a named bag or container. The children can  bring in a named bottle of water for snack and an additional bottle of squash for lunchtime.

What we are learning this half-term:

English - looking at the texts 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers and 'One Day on our Blue Planet...In the Savannah' by Ella Bayley using the Power of Reading teaching sequences. We will also be re-capping Phase 3 in Phonics before progressing on to Phase 4.

Maths - Place value: sorting and counting objects up to 10, counting forwards and backwards, one more/one less, introducing part-whole, and addition.

Science - Animals including humans: body parts and senses, identify and name a range of animals - mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish and birds, and their body parts, observing seasonal changes - autumn.

RE - God's Greatest Gift - looking at the story of Creation.

Computing - on-line safety and exploring Purple Mash, grouping and sorting.

PE - Fundamental skills for movement (hopping, running, skipping, jumping, sprinting) and ball skills.

Music - Charanga music scheme - Hey You! recognising and appreciating the style of hip hop.
