Website Links and Home Learning

Please find below a list of the Year 1 and Year 2 words to practise reading and spelling at home. These include tricky words, high frequency words and common exception words. We have also included a link to the Year 3 and 4 National Curriculum words, if your child would like to challenge themselves.

  • Barefoot computing Barefoot Computing provides practical activities and interactive games to support the computer science aspects of the Computing curriculum.

For English activities 

  • Oxford Owl Ideas, activities and support for English and Maths. Free e-books to support reading

  • Phonics Play Phonics based games for all levels. In Year 2, we are revising Phase 5 and focusing on Phase 6 phonics.

  • Phonics Bloom Phonics based games for all levels. In Year 2, we are revising Phase 5 and focusing on Phase 6 phonics.

  • Pobble 365 Daily pictures to inspire discussions and written work. Spelling, punctuation and grammar related activities too. Superb inspiration for writing stories.

For Maths activities 

  • White Rose Maths We use White Rose as our maths scheme in school. They are uploading activities and supporting videos weekly. Take a look!

  • Times Tables Rock Stars Times tables website ( or app). You will need the log in provided in your child's reading diary.

  • Topmarks- Hit the button Focusing on quick recall of doubles, halves, number bonds (to 10/20) and multiplication/division facts.

  • BBC Supermovers Videos and physical activities to support the learning of times tables
